Dear ,
We are thrilled to announce our latest accomplishment in advancing the cause of sustainable PPE solutions. As active members of the European Safety Federation, we are proud to have contributed to the recent decision taken by the PPE Working Group, to remove the printed Instructions for Use requirement from the guidance document in line with the PPE Regulation. We recognized this change was coming and, anticipating this move by the Commission and Member States, invested significantly in creating the necessary digital infrastructure to be ready to provide paperless IFUs.
Our investment has enabled us to transition our products to paperless Instructions for Use, and beginning on September 1st, 2024, we will no longer include printed versions with our CE certified industrial product range. This change will progressively become visible in the market. To ensure we maintain and improve our wearers’ safety standards, we have already incorporated QR codes on the garment neck label, so the relevant documentation is readily accessible in all European languages. Wearers will also have quick access to CE certificates and Declarations of Conformity for the product through the QR code or can access them directly from our SafeSPEC™ website.
Users can also check the reference number of Instructions for Use on the neck label and download it at www.tyvek.com/ifu.
Our move to paperless Instructions for Use aligns with our vision for sustainability, which already includes packaging-related efforts such as the inclusion of Post-Consumer Recycled content and the Eco Pack offering. We view this move as an opportunity to further our commitment to sustainability for our customers.
Regards, DuPont Personal Protection Team |
